Perform all tasks associated with booking direct and indirect consumer loans with the exception of underwriting beginning with taking telephone, mail or e-mail applications to working up the applications for underwriters review, communicating with members and closing the loans. The ability to cross sell other Barksdale Federal Credit Union products, excellent communication skills, the capability to perform well in a fast-moving, high stress environment and a team spirit are key factors in this position.

This position is responsible for the member service functions from the opening of an account, through the various services offered by the credit union. This position is responsible for cross-selling the credit union’s products and services, and thus facilitates the credit union becoming the member’s primary financial institution. When problems or questions arise, this position is responsible for initiating a sound resolution.

Analyze, evaluate, approve, condition or deny approval on consumer loans and incoming dealer generated indirect automobile credit applications within approval limits and in accordance with established lending policies, procedures and other criteria.

Prefer a minimum of one year experience or equivalent experience in operations, accounts and investments and/or the loan department.
Receives members by telephone, determines nature of business and directs callers to proper destination. Work is performed under general supervision according to existing procedures and involves a variety of general clerical duties that can normally be performed in the center reception area. Responsible for the daily encoding of all checks received throughout the day by tellers. Balancing and finding errors.
